Stovetops, along with their options and beauty have have come along way. For many years we were left with only two options, gas or exposed electric coil burners. Well times have changed and we now have many more options and styles to choose from.
If you’re like me, one of the things that you dislike the most about old exposed electric coil stovetops is cleaning the drip pans. Well those days are gone; with smooth flat top burners there are no drip pans to clean. Flat tops, also know as smooth tops, are now the standard in most new electric ranges. The heating elements are encased under a smooth tempered glass surface making cooking and cleaning a breeze. However, there are now different heating element options to choose from. The widely found is still the electric coil option, but this option is now more appealing in both its look and beauty as well as the ease of clean up. The electric coils sit under the glass, while still giving versatility that we have become accustomed to. Another options is induction cooktops. Induction cooking is a little different as it uses electromagnets to heat up the cookware, not the stove. As a result you will need special induction specific cookware in order to use it properly. A benefit is that the heat directly goes to the cookware allowing it to heat up much faster and also maintains the temperature much better than its counterparts. Another alternative for cooktops is an infrared burner. These burners achieve their goal by using halogen lights for the heat, as opposed to electric coils. Many configurations of infrared stovetops are portable; however there are a few full size options as well.
If you still enjoy the power and versatility of a gas burner, we haven’t forgotten about you. Now, more than ever, we are able create the beauty and prestige of a professional style gas stovetop within your own home. From large multi-burner stainless steel “line” cooking to simple yet elegant set ups, gas is still a popular kitchen option.
Of course when you cook, it is important to have the proper ventilation to draw out any steam or smoke from your kitchen. Just like the cooktops, cooking ventilation has come along way from the old standard style. Beautiful stainless steel full hoods can now be added in a conspicuous way to create beauty within the kitchen. Whether it be attached to a wall or hanging gorgeously from the ceiling, a elegantly designed hood helps complete the masterpiece of your chef inspired kitchen. But what if you are looking for something more obscure and not so overt like a hanging hood? We have an amazing option for that as well; Best Downdraft Ventilators allow just for that. These cooking ventilators are motorized and will pop-up when you need the ventilation for cooking and also retract into the counter when not in use. We have been installing them into kitchen islands, along with the cooktops, allowing for more efficient use of space as well as creating a beautiful and modern looking kitchen.
